On December 15, 2023, the list of candidates for the 17th Beijing Outstanding Achievement Award in Philosophy and Social Sciences was announced. "Accumulation and Distribution of Wealth in Traditional China: A Study of Social Wealth in the Yangtze River Delta in the 1820s" written by Professor Zhang Xiaojing at the Institute of Finance & Banking of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, and Dr. Wang Qing won the first prize.
The Beijing Outstanding Achievement Award in Philosophy and Social Sciences is awarded every two years. It aims to prosper the philosophy and social sciences in the capital, mobilize the enthusiasm and creativity of the majority of philosophy and social science workers, and represents the highest level in the humanities and social sciences in Beijing.
