Personal profile

Li Yu is currently an Associate Research Fellow at the Chinese Academy of International Trade and Economic Cooperation (CAITEC), Ministry of Commerce. She holds a Ph.D. in Economics and serves as a supervisor of master students. She has published tens of papers in leading academic journals, such as Economic Research Journal, Economic Perspectives, and Journal of Economic Behavior and Organization. She has also contributed to a number of monographs, including China’s National Balance Sheet 1978–2022: The Great Transformation of the Chinese Economy since Reform and Opening-up. She hosts and participates in projects funded by the National Social Science Fund, the Asian Development Bank, etc. She has received awards and honors such as the Ministry of Commerce's Business Development Research Achievement Award and the Special Funding from the China Postdoctoral Science Foundation.


Research Interests: Economic development and economic policy, international trade and investment, and national balance sheet analysis.
