Personal profile
Mo Zhexun is a post‑doctoral scholar at the Stone Center on Socio‑Economic Inequality at the Graduate Center of the City University of New York, and serves as the East Asia Coordinator for the World Inequality Lab. He is an applied economist with research interests at the intersections of development economics, political economy, and economic history. His work focuses on the long‑term dynamics of inequality in both Africa and East Asia. He also conducts experimental research on inequality perceptions, preferences for redistribution, and fairness reasoning in developing countries. He received his Ph.D. in Economics from the Paris School of Economics in July 2024.
